Brandon Burgess is a marketer, cinematographer, and entrepreneur whose work has spanned over a decade in high-pressure creative environments—helping brands stand out, scale, and generate millions in revenue and reach.

But behind the external results was a deeper reality: anxiety, internal pressure, and the constant weight carried in both body and mind.

Through his personal journey, Brandon began to see that fear often grows from two roots.

The first is suffering—the language of the body. The sensations, tension, and signals we experience are often misinterpreted as danger, creating cycles of fear that become stored and reinforced over time.

The second is identity—how we see ourselves. The mind projects a future based on that perception, shaping behavior, expectation, and emotional response. When identity is rooted in fear, the cycle continues. When it is seen differently, the cycle begins to break.

His work explores how these two roots interact—how the body speaks, how the mind interprets, and how both can be retrained through awareness, truth, and a faith-rooted perspective.

His upcoming book, Shadows and Trees: Releasing Anxiety Trapped in the Body, introduces a framework for recognizing what is real and what is perceived—what he calls “trees” and “shadows”—and how healing begins not by fighting fear, but by understanding it.

Brandon is also the founder of Roots & Light, a community built on forward movement, clarity, and living a life no longer defined by anxiety, but grounded in truth.

Through his work, he brings together real-world experience, creative insight, and a deeper understanding of the body and identity—helping others step out of survival and into a life that feels steady, present, and alive.
